A Day at Kirstenbosch Gardens

image

We had a seriously amazing day yesterday at the Kirstenbosch Gardens. I don’t think our girls have ever walked that far without complaining ever.

We took a stroll along the ‘Boomslang’, picnicked under the trees, smelled the flowers, found butterfly wings, analysed intricate spiderwebs and explored the forest floor. The girls were fascinated with the tadpoles and tiny frogs, and the ones inbetween.

We were just about to head home when my cousin let me know she had 4 tickets for Beatenberg and Gangs of Ballet that she couldn’t make it to, so we ended up staying for that too.

Kirstenbosch is such a beautiful place and such a treasure in South Africa. I definitely need to visit much more often.

I think the next challenge will be a hike up Skeleton Gorge 🙂
