Ah, the onset of summer…. most people get mini heart attacks at the thought of being all exposed and wobbly on the beach in December. And I’m one of them again this year.
I joined Virgin Active a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been a few times, mostly for cardio as I want to lose weight and get fit before I start toning.
I haven’t been absolutely comfortable with my body since the pregnancy (I mean, really, which mother is?), so I’m taking the plunge and getting active. The Virgin Active gym in Tableview is great as they have an awesome Club V section for the kiddies to hang out while mom works out. Aurora loves it there and has actually become my personal cheerleader and motivator – by nagging to go to gym every day when I fetch her from school. I have no excuse now not to go at least 3 times a week.
On Sunday I did a full 60 minute cardio workout, and went to fetch and was immediately told “go workout some more mommy, I’m not done here”. So I did 🙂
So, the question is – can I lose 9kg by December? I hope I can do it. The only part of my diet (eating habits) that has me really worried is the wine that I do enjoy so much! I’m sure the odd glass here and there will slow things down, but I don’t want to starve myself of any pleasure to feel good 🙂
@Sleekgeek has inspired me to change my lifestyle and #eatclean, get active and shed the kilo’s! While I haven’t officially joined the SleekGeek Summer challenge I am well motivated to see the results of some of the participants.
There is a 30 day REBOOT support group with guidelines on what to cut out of your diet (and, sadly, alcohol is one) to reset your metabolism and burn that fat baby!!!!
